All finished CHRISTMAS CARD kits from Frosted are sold!

Completed cards.  These are from the Frosted Card Kit sold by Close To My Heart.
The kit comes with all the supplies to complete 15 cards with some product left over.
Go to my website to order your kit.  Email me if you would like to work on this kit together.

Since these all sold so quickly,(first two people to look at them bought almost all of them) I was asked to make more.  Maybe this weekend, I hope.  Let me know if you would like to scrap together.

18" Christmas Tree- I need your help!

I purchased an 18" blank Christmas Tree (that you use to display Christmas Cards) from Bargain Bills about a year ago.  Yes, I know.. what took me so long?  Well I really did not like the sample they had in the photo, so I needed to give my mind some creative time to work.
What I came up with is I like the idea of displaying some cards, but I want something that would be more "involved".  I decided one side would be for cards and the other would be a countdown to Christmas or a December display of the date.  Either way, the numbers will change daily.
I found some adorable papers and got started.  The first picture is the tree painted all green and the stand yellow.  I used brush strokes to represent an almost wicker basket.  It is very hard to see in the pictures but see what you think.

I also sprayed the entire project with a sparkler mist to whatever parts I left uncovered with paper would have some interest to them.

Next I applied pattered paper to one side of the tree.  Here is how it turned out.

My next project is painting the 1/4" ornaments that came with the kit.  I will attach these in a fashion that will allow me to use them to hold and display the cards.  I am working on that now and will post when I have that project finished and ready.
I will also post the finished project with the countdown or date display.
I would like votes on which technique I should use:  Ornaments with countdown (numbers) to Christmas, or Ornaments displaying the current date in December!  Or maybe both??  Let me know what you would like to see and why.  If your post helps me make my decision, you will be given a special gift from me.  Thanks for visiting.

Here are two cards that I have worked on the last couple of days.  The first card is all about chocolate!  I am going to send it to my son and daughter-in-law to let them know I was thinking of them.... and chocolate!

It is a spinner card so the front focal image can change.  Notice the two images?
This is a card I made with gift cards in mind.  It is the Holly Jolly gift care holder.  This card sits nicely and is very cute inside.  The card can also sit easel style.

Here the card is open (sorry that it is sideways)  I usually fix my pictures in another program, but forgot about this one:)

       This next card I am very excited about.  I made it to send to our two grand-daughters also in North Dakota.  It also is a spin focal image.  The cream around the penguin in ear muffs is actually the background.  He spins freely just like the front.  The penguin with the ornament is saying;
Snowflakes are kisses sent from heaven.  The message on the left says;   Oma says.... If we must have SNOW... then ENJOY it!  Oma is our name for Grandma and Opa is Grandpa.  But Opa does not like snow unless it is melted;)
Hope you have enjoyed the two fun cards I made and I will be back with more soon.

Bakers 12 card workshop at Bargain Bills with pictures

I had a great time at Bargain Bills in Rice Lake this last Friday.  I attended a card making class, called Bakers 12 and made 12 home made cards and one for the baker!  I meet new friends and here some pictures of us having a good time.

Below you will see pictures of the cards we made.

The class was $20, they provided snacks and a drink.  We made 4 each of the first three cards making the '12".  The last one was for the "baker"  which made it a Bakers 12 class.  We all had a great time and I look forward to their next class.  They will rotate between the regular crop night (once every other month) and a card class on alternate months.  October was cards and November will be crop where you bring your own supplies and scrap with friends.  Call them for more information.
Thanks for visiting Inkyfingers1 and would love to see you post a comment.  Theresa

Artbooking Made Easy: Fall into Artbooking (S01E07)

Home made scrapbooking storage shelves and more

Here are pictures of my latest creations.  They are homemade shelves made from posterboard.  They are much sturdier than I expected.  I have a few more I would like to make, just waiting for my husband to grab more poster board!  Thanks for viewing. I built two of these units in one day!  I downsized most of my storage area by using these units.  I love them!

Oh and yes I am taking orders.  If you would like a unit built for your crafting supplies, contact me with measurements and I will make one for you.

The first unit on the left is my ink pad/ reinker unit.  It has 4 open shelves, two large drawers and the top shelf to display a few cute items.  The middle shelf holds my water coloring pencils, markers, chalks and more with 6 shelves divided as needed and one large drawer.  My third shelf holds embellishments, glitter glue, embossing powders and more.  It has 4 shelves divided into cubby holes and 2 drawers that can be moved to different locations.  Hope you enjoy and thanks for stopping.   Theresa
