Non traditional pine, splash of color birthday and gratitude cards
What is better than not sleeping?? Not sleeping and making cards! I guess if I cant sleep I would rather make cards than do nothing but lay there and wonder.... so I got up and here is what I made. Just in time to because I needed to make 12 cards, like yesterday!
Here is the first card design. I wanted to give these cards a little twist. Non traditional colors. Pink and Blue. One of my favorite stampsets right now is the Perfectly Pine small but very cute stampset. See it on page 52 of the Holiday Inspirations catalog and here.
I used Pixie and Sky ink with White Daisy cardstock for the base. I used glitter glue on the pink needles to give it a little extra sparkle. The sentiment is framed using stitched rectangles die.
Next I made the following birthday cards using Ink Blot- another one of my favorite stamps. See it here. I used Sunflower, Peacock, Garden Green and Pomegranate for the inks. Again the stitched rectangles and glitter for highlights. The Happy Birthday is from a very old set (one of my first) called A Little Everything. I love to stamp the HAPPY in one color and place the birthday on top in another color. The sparkling happy is cut from felt using the die set from Sizzix-Celebrate (660223). Another favorite.

Last is my favorite card that I made before the sun came up this morning..... Graditude Birthday. I made these cards using the SOTM from September. Imagine getting this set for only $5.00!! It has 19 stamps and the sentiments are darling. Perfect for this time of year.
My inks were Garden Green and Orange. I used the ShinHan Cherry Pin and Left Green markers for coloring. I cut the pumpkin using Cricut Artbooking cartridge and the Garden Sprig die from Poppy. And of course some glitter for some WOW.
Here is the pumpkin close up.
Well I hope you have enjoyed my creations and hope you have ink on your fingers and love in your heart.
Please feel free to comment and if you have questions just let me know. Thanks for stopping by and see you again real soon.

Twist and Pop- Oh Deer!
This is my very first attempt at the Twist and Pop card. I was
inspired to try this card from Sincerely Rina on YouTube with her Twist
and Pop card. Watch here video here.
Here is my card.
This card was amazingly fun and easy to make. Just a few well placed score lines and you have it twisting and poppin in no time.
Here is the card opened....
I guess I really like this new paper from Close To My Heart. I bought a bunch of it. Its from the paper pack called Oh Deer! There are 12 pieces of 12x12 sturdy patterned paper called B&T Duos in the paper pack. On this piece are pine cones and needles in our pretty Sea Glass blue and a variety of our browns. The other side has deer and trees. Love the colors. See it for yourself here.
The front cover is the patterned paper without any alterations as well as the bottom section inside. But all the rest are my creations using the cutest little stampset called Perfectly Pine. You got to see this cute set and it is only $6.95. Go back and click on Perfectly Pine and see for yourself how cute it really is. Easy to use. Every image came out crisp and clean. And it is obvious that I had fun with it (just look how much I filling the inside of the card).
The sentiments are so adorable. They are from last months Stamp Of The Month which you can only get by being one of the first TWO PEOPLE to place an order of $50 or more and I will send this TOTALLY ADORABLE stampset to you for FREE!!!
I added color to the leaves using our new markers ShinHan Touch Twin maker- Barely Beige. I just got a few in my last order and this was the first project I used with my new markers. I am excited to try them on new projects in the future.
If you would like to know more about how I did this card specific to my colors of ink and cardstock, just let me know. I just want to thank you for stopping by to see my card and please leave a comment. Thanks and how to see you again with really inkyfingers!

Phaedras Princess Photo Palace
I needed to make a special "card" for my oldest granddaughter who just turned 6. It was her golden Bday so she needed something really extra special.... so I made her this ......
It measures 11 1/2" from bottom to top and 7" from cloud to cloud. I did not have any template to use so it is my own creation. I used pink cardstock and gold glitter paper from CTMH. I also used patterned paper from the Happy Times paper pack from CTMH.
Inside are 8 pages she can use to display her favorite photos from her upcoming PRINCESS DANCE she will be having with her friends. Phaedra and her sister are both adorable 'little princesses' and will be so cute at the dance and in this album.
Thanks for stopping by to see my photo palace. Please leave a comment. I hope to be back again later today or tomorrow with some cards I need to make. I appreciate your visit.

What I love about Close To My Heart
I have been with CTMH for about 9 years now. During this time I have learned alot about scrapbooking and card making. I have, through experience realized what I like and dislike about different products. Today I will tell you what I like about out new Idea Book called Holiday Expressions. Our idea books are product books but they are also meant to inspire you with NEW IDEAS.
Today I will talk about theHoliday Expressions which a short supplement to the Annual Inspirations. It covers the months of September thru December of 2016.
The first thing I really like about CTMH is their patterned paper. The provide us with paper packs in thier Creative Collections, that have 12 sheets of patterned paper that coordinate perfectly together with each other, the cardstock and ink colors from CTMH. That means when I open a paper pack I know I will always have the correct shades working seamlessly together every time. Now they have separate the paper from the cardstock so you have more pattern pages to play with. You can also order the exact colors of cardstock that work with each paper pack. They offer Complement which are stickers and die-cuts that match perfectly to the papers and are also in many of the sample artwork.
Another really cool item that CTMH has are called Thin Cuts. Many of the Creative Collections has a Thin Cuts die cut set and matching stampset. For example on page 27 starts the City Sidewalks Creative Collections. The following pages are the samples used for the paper packs, complements, accessories and washi tape pack. All matching perfectly. On the top of page 31 offers you the Workshop Your Way Scrapbooking kit for City Sidewalks. Below that you find a list of items you can add to the workshop that will allow you to create addition projects with you remaining materials from the workshop. In the case of City Sidewalks you can add a few projects and make 9 additional cards. Great way to use up product and create new inspiration.
Here is some artwork made with City Sidewalks. Below is a two page layout made from the Workshop Your Way- City Sidewalks.
For those of you who like to make cards, there are the sample cards from the additional products made from the left over Workshop You Way on page 31.
The kit makes everything easy and beautiful with all the hard work of design already created for you. Just follow the instructions.

Crafty Card Gals- First Card Swap!
I am part of a new card swap called Crafty Card Gals. This is our first month to swap. I wanted to share with you all the cards that have been made it this swap. Starting with the ones I received first and then from there.
I guess that would mean I start with mine, since I made (received) mine first. Here is my card.
Since I had to send four, thought I would picture four. Here they are. I used the paper from the collection from CTMH called Happy Times. It had a variety of colors and patterned. I cut the shape of the card to have a soft curve, just like us girls. The BIRTHDAY GIRL is cut out of the gold strip from one of the patterned papers. It did not photo that great. I folded the ribbon on the back of the pink flower paper and glued together. In some ways it was quick and easy but I also like how elegant it is. It was a lot of fun knowing I had four wonderful gals (crafty card gals) to send these too.
The first official card I got in the mail was from Jerrie. She is legally blind, but that does not stop her so she says on her blog called.... COLORING OUTSIDE THE LINEZ. You have to go visit her blog. She does an amazing job with backgrounds. I will have take up some courage and try some her style. Might have to ask for lessons. She does a great job! Jerry will be busy making a lot of cards because she will be a guest designer for...........MHK Designs for three months! What awesome news.
Next card I got was from Sandy. She send this LoLLy PoP in the mail and I was so amazed at how real it looks. I wanted to lick it! Another technique I will have to try... after I get some tips from Sandy. The straw is actually a real straw so it stands up off the card. Sweet and (except for the time it took to twist all that bakers twine into the lolly pop) looks easy enough to learn. Clean. Wonderful. Will have to give it a try someday.
The next card came from Patti at stationerystyles. Many of you know her and if you dont, please pop over to see her inspirational cards. She too has been a guest designer for many companies. What I really loved about her card is the bow. I need to learn to make a bow like that! And she can teach me. Actually she is the reason I can create cards in the first place. She was my teacher!! way back in 2007 or so. I love the bright colors against the white card. Mostly white seems to be the in thing lately and I have to say I really like the clean look. Thanks Patti for your great inspiration and teaching skills.
Last card in the group was made by Julie Andersson. I love that she made a more masculine card because I never seem to have any of them! Here is the card...
This is just so cute! She used Liquid Glass on the fins and for the air bubbles (so cute) Inside the card it says 'HOPE YOU HAVE A "REEL" HAPPY BIRTHDAY'. So cool. Cant wait to give this card to a special guy for his birthday!
I love the bobbers. I fish for bass and usually use bobbers to start with. Once they start to bite, I sometimes take off the bobber to get a good feel on the line.
This was a great card swap. Everyone was excited to check the mail for their cards. I really like that I got a few cards made by others that I can give out. We decided to send a little something extra with out cards. I already used one items that I got but not on these cards.
Working on the next swap for November. Anything goes, but I think mine will be 'seasonally' appropriate.
Check back here again the end of November to see what the CRAFTY CARD GALS have created. Thanks for stopping by and ..... IF YOU HAVE INKYFINGERS, you know you have had a great day!
