Squash book fun at Chetek Community Center

We had a great time at the craft class on Friday.  We made Squash Books!  Here we have Kathy showing her book all finished.  She finished a level one so when she gets home she will do more decorating.
Laura also joined us and she is showing the inside of her book.  She also finished a level one.
Chris is working hard on her book.  She decided to do a level 2 and personalize the book a little more.
Here is the inside of her book, decorated and personalized.  We had a awesome time.  If you are interested in this or any other of my projects, please contact me and we will set up a class or workshop.  Thanks for stoppin and gettin InkyFingers with me!

Lucky workshop- We we created this wonderful workshop at Pelican Place in Chetek.  It used some nice neutral colors and patterns that you can use for just about any occasion.  Here is pictured Julie with her two pages, titled LIVE TODAY.  The pictures are from a hike with her and her husband just last weekend.  Below are come close ups of each page.  If you are interested in creating layouts, cards or need any information on crafting with paper,  email me and I would be glad to help.  See you at the paper shop!

Animal Cards at Chetek Community Center

We had a great time making cards at the Community Center on May 6th.

There were 3 cards to pick from: A horse, Cat or Dog theme card.  There were a total of 8 ladies who showed for the class and several of them made more than one card.

During the class my daughter Laura surprised me with gifts for Mother's Day.  She was not going to be home on Sunday and did not want me to feel like she forgot.  How wonderful and thoughtful.  Thank you and I love you Laura.

Brandon is in the Navy

I know this does not have anything to do with crafting but I wanted everyone to know that after a year of hard work, Brandon is finally in the Navy.  His birthday is July 17th (he will be 20) and we will be throwing him a party then.  He will ship out on Aug. 17th and his brother Shawn is getting married Sept 17th.  Looks like a busy summer ahead!  Thanks for visiting Inkyfingers!

Guys Point of view- Mothers day card

This beautiful card was made by my daughters boyfriend for his mother.  She lent a helping hand but he did all the work!  Great card don't you agree?!
Scrapbooking is for everyone who wants to learn!  There are many levels of skill that can be developed, not everyone starts off being crafty.  I did not think I could do it.  My sister Cheryl and good friend Patti had been crafting for a long time and they created beautiful pieces of artwork.  I have come a long way and can create great things the more I practice.  I hope some day to catch up to Cheryl and Patti!  Thanks for inspiring me to start crafting!
