Pixie's Crafty Workshop has my very first challenge!

I found this wonderful blog that I would like to share.  Its called Pixies Crafty Workshop. Her website is awesome.  She calls it the playground.  What a fun nickname.  I sent her an email and she to back with me right away, several times actually and invited me to come to the playground, she would "save me a swing".  I thin we are going to be good friends and hope to meet a few of the other girls who come to "play".

This website has an awesome perspective on its challenges.  Anything goes as long as you use snippets.  Easy enough for me cause I usually go for them first whenever I am making anything small enough.  I will create a seperate post showing how I store my snippets and maybe you will like this idea too.

So here is My card. I was inspired by a card here on Pinterest.  I love to go there and use this artwork to inspire me.  If I like the card, why not make one for myself?  I might not have all the items the other person uses and I might change up a few things too like I did with my card.

On the front of my card I used a layering technique that Patti  has used a couple times and I totally love it.  Its a bit of work but I feel it is worth it.  Visit her blog here.

My supply list is below.  I hope you have enjoyed my card.

I will be entering this card in:

  1. Hi Theresa! You made my day by playing and what kind words too! I adore your first (of many I hope) snippets entry - and it gets to feature on Sunday when I'll officially say welcome to you :) To be honest, even if you hadn't been a new playmate this week, I would have featured this card as a weekly 'pick' - it's just perfect and the girls will love it! I love the design and colours so much, really clever how the bands and butterflies are colour co-ordinated as well. AND you even decorate the insides of your cards?! Crumbs, that's double perfection. Brilliant use of snippets of course.

I see my lovely friend Darnell is a follower - guess what, she's over in England in July and we finally get to hang out together for a couple of days down in Southampton! So exciting :) No doubt we'll be into mischief!

It's early morning here here but I wanted to say how delighted I am you came to play before hopping into bed. All is well, Parsnip is trotting round the Playground washing down the swings and generally cleaning up - so if you see a little white and very busy little teddy bear it's just him!

    Hugs

  2. This is really pretty! I like the colors you used. I also love to go to Pinterest for inspiration. (too much so) If I find a card I like...I just my best to change some things, and put my own spin on it. (but most of the time I like their original card better!)

  5. I'm wearing my Cuttlebug DT hat right now :) Wanted to say how great it is that this lovely card is appearing on more challenges - good luck Theresa!

Too funny about the NBUS challenge you told me about in your email (will respond to it ASAP). Darnell is a much loved blogger, I'm so proud she's a good friend of mine and is the very same person I told you was coming over to England in July to visit! The circles in Blogland do overlap so often!

    Hugs

  6. Hello and welcome to my Butterfly world with your gorgeous butterfly card. The textures are perfect and I love the teal colour with the green and yellow. Now don't you go believing everything that Miss Di tells you about Parsnip cos I know for a fact he is wont to nip behind the potting shed with his trusty hip flask. He missed 3 swings this morning and now I have mud on my skirt.!!
Thankyoy for fluttering by my challenge Hugs Mrs A.
p.s. Did Di tell you that we have 2 chickens named after us by another playmate. Miss Di and Mrs A live with Hettie.
